Rice’s Maroon Silk Wrapping Thread Size 00
The wooden spools contain 3/4 oz. of thread or approximately 1100 yards of size 00, silk maroon thread. This is the original Rice’s thread used on Wright and McGill bamboo rods including the Water Seal models. This thread was the primary wrap for the FA model and tipping for the FB model. Use this thread on newly crafted rods or when restoring old bamboo fly rods. This maroon silk thread looks very good on graphite rods when finished with epoxy and no color preserver.
