Permit model, serial number 005, fly reel. Diameter 3 3/8 inches. The reel weighs 11 oz. with line and backing on our digital scale. Black anodized aluminum frame with gold anodized spool. Strong adjustable drag, LHW. RHW reversible. This reel is an excellent light to medium duty salt water reel and would also make a good salmon and steelhead reel. Unfortunately, little is known about Hodgson (not Hodge and Sons reel makers from Oregon).  If you have any information about the maker, please share it with us. A reel expert looked at the images and said it reminds him of a Seamaster. We are selling this high quality reel for a retired owner of a major fly fishing shop. Condition is very good with no corrosion or pitting on its anodized finish. sold
