Consignment Services
If you own, acquired or inherited quality fishing tackle that you'd like to sell, we can examine your fishing tackle, evaluate it, and offer it for sale on our website.

To initiate the consignment proceess, please provide the following information:
  • Digital images in jpg format.
  • Full description of items including bags and tubes for rods, including measurements of all sections. For reels indicate if boxed and including paperwork. Any written identification, names, marks, model numbers, lengths, sizes and weights, is also helpful.
After our evaluation, we will tell you the price for which we can sell it. If you agree, we will list the item for sale, and when sold, send you a check for the sold price less a consignment fee.
Custom Rod Repair & Refinishing
We offer rod repair and refinishing of bamboo, graphite and fiberglass fishing rods using original components and finishes when available.

Rick does all of our rod repairs, including scarfing and refinishing bamboo fishing rod sections, bamboo rod tip straightening, refinishing and repair of fiberglass and graphite rods. Complete rod refinishing can be done in 3 months or less.

Tackle Evaluation:
We offer in-shop identification and evaluation of fishing tackle for a $35 per item fee. Please bring all rod parts, bags, cases, reels and boxes so we an provide the best estimate for you.

We also offer online identification and evaluation of fishing tackle for a $35 per item fee. You must provide the following information:

  • Digital images in jpg format.
  • Full description of items including bags and tubes for rods, including measurements of all sections. For reels indicate if boxed and including paperwork. Any written identification, names, marks, model numbers, lengths, sizes and weights, is also helpful.
Written evaluations will be provided only after we physically examine the items or documentation.

If we purchase appraised items or sell them on consignment, the evaluation fees will be waived.
