7'6", 3/2 1983 Limited Edition Series. The Fountainhead. A tribute to Phillippe, Green, Mitchell, and Murphy who began the tradition of split-bamboo rod making between 1845 and 1865. These 7 1/2', 3 piece rods featured spiked ferrules and other details commonly found on the early bamboo creations. This rod weighs 5.3 oz. on our digital scale. Nickel silver spiked ferrules are sizes 12 and 17. The rod has full intermediates. The mortised grip and reel seat alternate strips of bamboo and mahogany. Highly engraved nickel silver cap and ring reel seat hardware. T & T logo stamped and engraved female ferrules.
